Medan DPRD Consults On Banda Aceh Halal Tourism Regulations
BANDA ACEH - Commission III of the Medan City DPRD conducted consultations regarding regulations for the implementation of halal tourism in Banda Aceh City, which can then be applied to Medan City.
"We want to see how the regulations for implementing halal tourism have been implemented in Banda Aceh," said Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Medan DPRD, Abdul Rahman Nasution, in Banda Aceh, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 12.
Abdul Rahman said it was still difficult to implement the implementation of halal tourism as North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi had done regarding halal tourism on Lake Toba some time ago.
However, because the people in the Lake Toba area could not accept the program, it has not been implemented properly to this day.
"We are trying to compare (comparison) regarding what Governor Edy Rahmayadi has tried to do regarding halal tourism in Lake Toba," he said.
Regarding the halal label in the city of Medan so far it already exists, especially for SMEs that have been issued by the local MUI.
"When the qanun that is being discussed in Banda Aceh is expected to be completed, so that we can get clear information regarding halal tourism in Banda Aceh," said Abdul Rahman.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Banda Aceh Tourism Office Muhammad Ridha said that currently the Banda Aceh Government and the DPRK are working on qanuns (regional regulations) related to halal tourism.
"There have been several discussion meetings with the Banleg DPRK Banda Aceh, and God willing, this halal tourism qanun will soon be completed," said Muhammad Ridha.
