Search For Suspected JI Terrorist In Lampung, Detachment 88 Finds Dates Land Management
JAKARTA - The National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 discovered new facts about a suspected terrorist of the Lampung Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network, Suprihadi. He had socialized the Laz Aba charity program related to the empowerment of dates.
"At the 2019 Laz Aba National Conference, socialization of the Laz Aba program was conveyed, including the empowerment of date palm plantations," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Friday, November 12.
The date palm plantation, said Ramadhan, is in the Land of Java, Gunung Megang, Pulopanggung District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung, with an area of approximately four hectares. Some of them are waqf land or gifts.
"The 2 hectares of land are waqf from Subiyanto and the other 2 hectares were purchased by the Amil Zakat Institute Abdurrahman Bin Auf (LAZ ABA) from Subiyanto for Rp 400 million. However, the money is still less than Rp 175 million," said Ramadhan.
In addition, the search results revealed that the land was not officially managed. In fact, the party that manages it is not a legal entity.
"Managed is not an official company and not a legal entity," said Ramadhan.
