Cases Of Kidnapping And Capturing Businessmen In Depok, Police Are Still Looking For The Witness
DEPOK – The investigation into the case of the confinement of a businessman in Depok is still ongoing. The Depok Police previously arrested four suspects in the case. And now, his party admits to having pocketed another suspect.
"So there is a fifth suspect, but not the boss. In addition, we have named the fifth suspect," said the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Depok Police AKBP Yogen Heroes Baruno, Friday, November 12.
Yogen said that his party had not yet secured strong witnesses in this case. The whereabouts of the witness are still unknown.
"We don't know where it is, we don't know where it is," explained Yogen.
Investigators have sent a letter to bring him forcibly, but the person in question was not found.
"If yesterday there was an order for the director to bring him, (to go) to the house he couldn't find it," he said.
Yogen said that next week, investigators will check the office in question (key witness). The information obtained, the person concerned was sick and sent a doctor's letter to the investigator.
In the certificate, the person concerned underwent surgery to remove the uterus. "The lawyer sent a letter of bed rest because of the operation to remove the uterus," he said.
Previously, it was reported that a businessman in Depok was detained in a hotel because he was accused of embezzling Rp73 billion of company money. According to information, the victim was asked to return the money by handing over a number of assets owned.
The victim who refused was suddenly arrested when he was invited to a meeting at the company. The victim said she was brought into the room and asked to sign a letter stating that she used company money. The victim again refused. Until then the arrest occurred.
“There were many assets confiscated, in the form of land, houses, cash, four and two-wheeled vehicles. According to their agreement with me, approximately (the value is) IDR 42 billion,” said the victim.
The victim admitted that he is still experiencing trauma after the incident. He still couldn't communicate with many unknown people. Even hearing the sound of the bell made him tremble.
"I'm still traumatized because almost every time I get threats, see firearms, are threatened and so on, I want to be bullied, what do I want and so on," he concluded.
After going through various investigative processes, the police arrested four suspects, namely M, I, S, and Y. Meanwhile, officers are still pursuing the mastermind of this crime.
