Investigation Of The Death Of Nigerian Citizen At The West Jakarta Detention Center Is Still Awaiting The Autopsy Results Of The RSCM
JAKARTA - Kalideres Police Investigators continue to investigate the death of Kingsley Chukwuebuka alias KC (35) Nigerian citizen who died at the West Jakarta Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim).
"We have interviewed several witnesses. The joint investigation process from the Kalideres Police and the West Jakarta Metro Police is underway. There are already several witnesses," said Kalideres Police Chief Commissioner Hasoloan Situmorang to VOI, Friday 12 November.
He is also waiting for the results of the autopsy because it will be used as the basis for the investigation.
"The results of the autopsy are not yet available, there are no results from the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM). Yes, because his family asked for (autopsy)," he said.
However, the police chief was reluctant to guess when concluding the cause of the Nigerian citizen's death.
"It looks normal on the outside, but we don't know whether there is a congenital disease or there is an internal wound, we don't know. (Our investigation) is basically the result of RSCM people, from medical personnel, doctors. Waiting (forensics)," he said.
Apart from waiting for the autopsy results, the police have also collected other evidence.
"CCTV is part of the investigation process by members. Currently, the investigation is still ongoing. The results of the autopsy have not been released. I can't guess, we're just going to be scientific," he said.
