Project Worker Found Dead Hanging Beside Tangerang – Merak Toll Road

SERANG – The identification team of the Serang Police of the Banten Police evacuated the body of a construction project worker on the side of the Tangerang – Merak Toll Road. When found by the witness, the body was hanging on the parapet and the neck was tied with a wire.

When examined, officers found the victim's wallet containing an ID card in the name of AM (37), a BPJS card and Rp9 thousand in cash. In the victim's pants pocket, officers found a cellphone. The victim was recorded as a resident of Nambo Village, Kaserangan Village, Ciruas District, Serang Regency. AM is suspected of being the victim of a murder.

Appendi (34), one of the witnesses, said that he knew there was a hanging body around 12:00 WIB. At that time Appendi wanted to go home after looking for moss, for fish bait. This statement was confirmed by the Chief of the Serang Police, AKBP Yudha Satria.

Yudha said the witness when passing through the tunnel under the Serang - Panimbang Toll Road access saw a man who was already suspended from barbed wire and was dead. Then the witness returned to the shop to inform the other residents.

"Based on the community report, personnel went directly to carry out the crime scene investigation and the investigation into the cause of death was AM, a casual daily laborer, a resident of Ciruas Subdistrict, Serang Regency," said Yudha Satria.
