Often Extorts Village Government While Bringing 20 People Threatens To Drive Theft, Man In Probolinggo Arrested By Police

PROBOLINGGO - The Pajarakan Police Team, Probolinggo Police, East Java, arrested Samsudin (46), a resident of Gununggeni Village, Banyuanyar District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java.

Samsudin was arrested for allegedly blackmailing the government of Sukokerto Village, Pajarakan District. The perpetrators argued extorting money as security.

Kapolsek Pajarakan Iptu Sugeng Harianto said the security began when his party received a report from the Sukokerto Village government. Perpetrators are often called extortion.

"Actually, the extortion has been carried out for a long time, since the old village head. Because of fear, it was not reported, only when the Acting Officer was replaced he was immediately reported," said Iptu Sugeng, Thursday, November 11.

The perpetrators blackmailed by bringing the perpetrators of the theft to Sukokerto Village. Then the perpetrator immediately visited the village head, or the local village apparatus. The perpetrators threatened that if they were not given money they would commit theft.

"The perpetrators brought about 20 people, the money requested was around 1-2 million rupiah. Even up to 2.5 million rupiah," he explained.

Because it was disturbing, the village government immediately reported it to the Pajarakan Police Headquarters. In the end, the perpetrator was caught.

Currently, the police are still investigating the perpetrators.
