Female Victim Of Shooting Wounds In Sugapa Intan Jaya Referred To Jayapura Hospital

JAYAPURA - Agustina Hundalu (24), a woman who was shot in the Mamba Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua, was immediately referred to Jayapura Regional Hospital.

The victim is currently being treated at the Mimika Regional Hospital, in Timika, said Intan Jaya Police Chief AKBP Sandi Sultan, Thursday, November 11.

The police chief said that from the report he received, he would refer the victim to Jayapura to examine the recovery wound that hit his eye.

The victim who suffered a gunshot wound while passing around Mamba, Tuesday, November 9, the victim's condition is stable and the wound in the stomach has been treated.

When asked about the perpetrator of the shooting, the Chief of Police stated that he could not find out yet, considering that the location was often a firefight between armed criminal groups (KKB) and TNI-Polri officers.

"There is no intention of the security forces to injure residents, but when a gunfight occurs, it is very risky for people passing by to be hit," said AKBP Sandi, quoted by Antara.
