Ice Factory Corruption, Head Of Marine And Fisheries Service Of Maluku Regency Arrested
AMBON - The Head of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service of Southwest Maluku Regency, Maluku, JJK, has been detained by prosecutors at the Class II A detention center in Ambon due to a case of alleged corruption in the budget for the construction of two ice factories for the 2015 fiscal year.
"In addition to JJK, we have also detained two other suspects with the initials Mrs. AG and ST who were involved in a case that cost the state finances Rp. 1.7 billion," said Acting Head of Special Unit for Southwest Maluku Kejari, Asmin Hamja in Ambon, as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 11th.
The suspects were charged with violating Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 20 of 2001 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
According to him, the suspect JJK alias Jhony is a budget user, while AG alias Ariance is the official making the commitment, and ST alias Semy is the boss of CV. Blessing is suspected of being involved in this case.
"JJK is the head of the Marine and Fisheries Service of MBD Regency and there are indications of corruption in the 2015 fiscal year for the project to build two ice factory packages with a capacity of 2 tons per day but it was not completed," said Asmin. ice factory in Muain Village and Noilon Village, Leti District.
"It is not fictitious, but the project failed because the ice produced did not exist and the construction work did not meet specifications," said Asmin.
Today they underwent examination in the capacity of suspects and were immediately detained at the Class IIA Ambon Rutan after undergoing a medical examination.
