Ganjar Pranowo Collaborates With KPK To Remind Heads Of Central Java Regions Not To Corruption

SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo together with the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri reminded regional heads and DPRD leaders throughout Central Java not to commit various corruption crimes.

The directive was carried out at the Integrated Corruption Eradication Coordination Meeting at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja building in Semarang.

Ganjar Pranowo admitted that he deliberately gathered all regional heads and DPRD leaders throughout Central Java to remind them not to commit corruption.

The presence of the Chairperson of the KPK is expected to serve as a reminder for them to ensure that the government runs and the state budget is carried out properly.

"So yesterday I received a call from Mr. Firli, asking for a coordination meeting to prevent corruption, so I invite all regents/mayors and legislative leaders to come together to remind them again not to corrupt," said Ganjar, quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 11.

According to Ganjar, coordination with the KPK has been going well in Central Java, even Central Java already has a WhatsApp group with KPK leaders for consultation and prevention of corruption.

Even so, according to him, there is still a lot of anxiety from regional heads when dealing with law enforcement officers.

"A lot of anxiety arises from my friends, especially when dealing with law enforcement officials. Actually, where are we wrong? So we communicate so that corruption prevention can really be done," said Ganjar.

Ganjar said that the KPK has described areas that are prone to corrupt practices, such as buying and selling positions, collusion, illegal levies, licensing and others.

Through the Integrated Corruption Eradication Coordination Meeting, regional heads and DPRD leaders throughout Central Java are expected to understand and try their best to get caught in the vortex of corruption.

"Everyone has to prevent that, hopefully all of my friends will understand and don't do that. If you are still reckless, then you will be arrested," he asserted.

Firli gave directions regarding potential points of corruption and also provided prevention methods that regional heads could take so as not to fall into various corrupt practices.
