Hit A Big Hole On Salemba Street, Ambulance Guard Volunteer's Jaw Broken

JAKARTA - The impact of puddles due to rain that occurred on Jalan Salemba Raya, Senen District, Central Jakarta, made a number of roads in bad condition with potholes. Damage to the asphalt road also resulted in traffic accidents.

As experienced by Chandra (22), a volunteer from Escourting Ambulance Newbie (EAN). He had a single accident on Jalan Salemba Raya, after the motorcycle he was driving hit a pothole.

This incident occurred right near the Capitol Park Residence, Jalan Salemba Raya, Senen District. Chandra experienced the incident when he returned from duty to respond to the incident of people being electrocuted in Jatinegara.

At that time, Chandra will return home from the direction of Jatinegara towards the direction of Senen.

"When I passed the Matraman red light, there was a hole. I immediately hit and braked suddenly," Chandra told reporters, Thursday, November 11.

Chandra's motorbike then overturned and fell. While Chandra's body lay on the asphalt.

"(coincidentally) it wasn't raining at that time. The road had minimal lighting. The hole was quite big," he said.

As a result of the accident, Chandra broke his jaw. He was also taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) for initial treatment because he was unconscious after the accident.

"I don't remember anything. Last I remember, I was nyungsep. I'm currently undergoing outpatient treatment. Next week I will have surgery," he said.

Chandra hopes that the damaged road will be repaired by the DKI Jakarta Highways Agency (BM) so that it doesn't take any more victims.

"Improve the roads with potholes. Pay more attention to the damaged roads so they don't take more victims," he said.
