Jikustik's Faithful Song Recycled Rando Sembiring, Fresher And Contemporary
JAKARTA - Setia's hit song which was popularized by the band Jikustik in 2000 is now being performed by singer Rando Sembiring. Produced by Seno M. Hardjo, Rando wanted to give his appreciation to Pongki Barata through this song.
"Why did you choose this song? Because apart from being happy, I want to give high appreciation to Mas Pongki, besides being one of the best songs, Mas Pongki," said Rando Sembiring in a press release on Thursday, November 11.
Rando said the new version certainly sounded fresher and more contemporary. "I hope that music lovers will accept and include Setia in their daily playlist," said Rando.
"If Rando listens to it (this song) it's different, moreover the way he sings the song is also different. This is a song," said Rando. However, Rando also did not compose this single too much. Therefore the main backbone of the song is maintained. "Because the song is already good," he said.
Setia song also marks Rando's fifth single. This song will enter the digital market in mid-November 2021. Rando himself added that the parameter in recycling songs is not to eliminate the original song's style.
Second, because all singers have different ways of performing, the results of their song performances are different. "Each singer has different skills and capacities. I hope that with this different version, people will enjoy and accept this song. That's why we don't need to do different things anymore," he said.
