Police Arrest The Man Who Beat The Victim With An Ax In Tanjungbalai, North Sumatra, The Other Is On The Run

MEDAN - The perpetrator of the persecution was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Teluk Nibung Police. In that case, another perpetrator is still at large.

Tanjungbalai Police Chief AKBP Triyadi through the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Rapi Pinakri confirmed the arrest. AKP Rapi said the arrested perpetrator was Andri alias Andre (25).

AKP Rapi explained that the incident took place on Sunday, September 5 evening at Jalan Yos Sudarso, Struggle Village, Teluk Nibung District, Tanjungbalai City, North Sumatra. At that time, the suspect and his colleague Maulid (42) are now fugitives.

"At that time, the victim was at work and was in the back of a cold diesel car. Then the perpetrators Maulid and Andre came and climbed into the back of the car and started beating them using axes and hands," said AKP Rapi in his statement, Wednesday, November 10.

As a result of the incident, the victim named Rialdi Fauzan alias Nanang (24) suffered a laceration to the left side of his head.

"The victim is also unable or hindered in doing his job," he explained.

The victim immediately made a report to the Teluk Nibung Police. Upon receiving the report, the police immediately went to investigate.

"On Tuesday, November 9, officers received information that the perpetrator Andri alias Andre was at his home in Kapias Pulau Buaya Village and immediately arrested him," he continued.

During the arrest, the police also seized evidence in the form of an axe.

"The suspect will be subject to Article 170 Sub 351 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code," said AKP Rapi.
