Deputy Governor Riza Explains Why DKI Proposes IDR 98 Billion Grant For BPN

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has proposed a grant budget for the State Land Agency (BPN) of Rp. 98 billion in the General Policy on Budget and Priority Budget Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) for the 2022 budget year. This proposal has sparked debate in the DPRD.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, explained the reason why his party proposed the budget with a nominal value of Rp. 98 billion. According to Riza, this budget is used to facilitate the issuance of land certificates in the capital city.

"It's a joint task. So, it's the government's job to help ensure that land certificates in Jakarta are still not certified. It must be certified, including local government assets that have not been certified," said Riza at City Hall, Wednesday, November 10. .

Moreover, said Riza, grant funds for the purposes of complete systematic land registration (PTSL) or free land certificate programs for residents have been carried out for years.

"Indeed, previously there were regulations. This has been from previous years. This is a PTSL program every year throughout Indonesia, not only in Jakarta," said Riza.

Previously, the discussion on the proposed grant fund of Rp. 98 billion for BPN at the DKI DPRD Budget Agency had been tough. Deputy Chairman of Commission A of the DKI DPRD Inggad Joshua questioned why the DKI Provincial Government proposed the budget.

Inggad views that grants are ineffective. If it is true to issue PTSL, why do people often have problems when they want to issue land certificates?

"If he talks about this, it has something to do with subsidies for making PTSL certificates for the community, I would say, how was it done to the community in the past? There were a lot of rejections in the community because some of the land that the community had occupied for decades, suddenly got the certificate," said Inggad. to journalists.

"So, the PTSL proposed by the community was rejected. On the one hand, when we asked BPN, why did this certificate appear? The explanation was unclear. So, there was some kind of game," he added.
