Not Compatible With Ketum, Secretary General Of PKP Said Salahudin Resigns
JAKARTA - Said Salahudin has resigned as secretary general of the Justice and Unity Party (PKP). He conveyed this news after rumors of holding an Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) recently.
Initially, Said supported the urging of the National Conference of PKP administrators. However, over time the agenda did not come to a point of clarity. Because he refused if the Munaslub was held on the basis of personal interests, not parties.
"I reject the Munaslub for personal interests. I need guarantees that there is nothing wrong with being weird, for self-interest. The Munaslub must be because it is to hold the general chairman accountable. Because that is one thing that is justified in the AD/ART," Said said at the conference. online press, Wednesday, November 10.
Said said that many letters from regional administrations had come to him regarding the Munaslub. However, he was surprised that the Munaslub plan was unclear and uncertain.
"When the letters have been submitted, 2/3 have to be fulfilled, but apparently 2/3 of these usually appear about politics. At first, those who were excited, I asked what the solution was, I repeatedly said I was withdrawing but they said it was just the National Conference. It's just that it's your right to decide the DPN's decision. But I have to have clarity, so please send the letter, "said Said.
"But for some reason the one who was passionately proposing the concept of a letter somehow seemed like someone was fickle, kept procrastinating on his friends, didn't send anything like that," he continued.
He didn't even bother with that right. Because, Said said, if you want to convene, it must be pure and not have any personal interests.
"I return it to my friends. Simply put, the Munaslub, I support it, if you don't want it, I respect it. I heard that rumors have started to intimidate," he said.
On that basis, Said explained that he could no longer cooperate with General Chairman Yussuf Solichien.
"If it's not in line with reason I say, why am I holding on. After all, to fight for the country I can do it elsewhere. As long as I can do it, six months for many people is short but with extraordinary dynamics we are working really hard It feels like six months is pretty good to last," said Said.
Said feels that PKP is no longer a comfortable home to fight. Not because of the regional administrators, but because of the leadership of the general chairman who in his view is not in line.
"So after I talked to my friends who proposed the National Conference, the DPP management who proposed the National Conference and the National Assembly that agreed to the National Conference, today, Wednesday, November 10, 2021, I declared my resignation as secretary general as well as a member of the PKP," said Said.
In addition, he admitted that he did not know what the general chairman was planning against him.
"Whatever decision he wants to make with the other administrators, it doesn't change my attitude to not want to waste time. It's not the PKP that is wrong, it's not the wrong party, but there is a leadership that doesn't match," Said said.
