JAKARTA - AirAsia Group today announced the appointment of Colin Currie as Chief Commercial Officer. Colin is the former Managing Director of Adidas Asia-Pacific.
Going forward, Colin will help develop a data-driven, consumer-focused strategy to optimize growth and achieve financial targets for all airline businesses and digital units owned by AirAsia.

Tony hopes that Colin can drive data integration within the AirAsia Group to accelerate revenue growth and create new synergies in AirAsia's latest projects.

AirAsia said Colin had previously handled Adidas products covering the markets of China, South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asian and Pacific countries. Colin was responsible for making Adidas one of the most prominent consumer brands in the region, increasing the company's revenue fivefold in the Chinese market, and increasing its market share from fourth place to market leader by competing head-to-head.
"He has also been recognized for his role in refining the brand's operational model and driving growth to unprecedented levels," he said.
