Marina Center In Padang Will Become A World Class Port, He Said The Idea Was From Luhut Pandjaitan
JAKARTA - In order to improve tourism services in West Sumatra (West Sumatra), especially Mentawai, the Government is designing the construction of a Marina Center in Padang. This was disclosed by the Deputy of the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Transportation Coordination, Marves Ridwan Djamaluddin, when surveying the location of the Marina Center in Muara Padang, West Sumatra.
"So the highest progress in West Sumatra is tourism. The only world-class tourism object is now in Mentawai there, therefore we need to prepare good infrastructure so that when tourists want to visit Mentawai they have a good port here," said Ridwan. in a written statement, Tuesday 4 August.
"That's why we propose that this place or port is of good quality for tourists," he added.
In the construction of the Marina Center which will be managed by Pelindo 2, Ridwan also explained that in the future there will be maritime nuances in the city of Padang. This had previously been coordinated with the local government and all had agreed to build it.
"So it is hoped that later we will build a Maritime Center that can function as a port and also be a good example of how a maritime-based community can be brought to life, because later there will be culinary delights, there will be looks and more," he said.
Furthermore, Ridwan explained that in Mentawai itself an airport had been planned, but it did not interfere with the construction of the Marina Center.
"Although there will be plans to build their own airport and tourists there, this option will still be open, because there is not yet started here. So those who want to go directly to Mentawai by air can or by sea via Padang. , "he explained.
Meanwhile Deputy Governor of West Sumatra Nasrul Abit added that all licenses were being prepared. He hopes that development can be implemented as soon as possible.
"This estuary was repaired and then became the Marina Center. Initially, the idea of the Coordinating Minister for Marves (Luhut B. Pandjaitan) through Deputy Ridwan, that this will later go to Mentawai. We have prepared all the permits. In essence, we certainly hope that everything will be processed immediately," said Deputy Governor Nasrul.
