Woman Transjakarta Passenger Becomes Victim Of Sexual Harassment, Perpetrator Arrested By Police

JAKARTA - The Pancoran Police Sector Team arrested the perpetrator of sexual harassment on the Transjakarta bus route PGC - Blok M. The perpetrator was caught red-handed by the victim while touching the victim's breast.

The perpetrators were then taken into custody at the Kalibata police post, South Jakarta. Apart from the perpetrators, several eye witnesses on the Transjakarta bus were also questioned.

"I want to go up from PGC and I want to go home. I want to get married but I don't have money, I've only done it once," said Zuki, the perpetrator of sexual harassment who was arrested, Tuesday, November 9.

The perpetrators also underwent an examination at the Pancoran Police for further processing.

Meanwhile, according to Slamet, a friend of the victim, the incident began when the three of him boarded Transjakarta with another friend from Kalibata.

"Not long after that, my friend was immediately groped. I immediately responded to secure the suspect," said Slamet.

At the time of his arrest, the suspect denied that he had sexually assaulted him.

"There was no resistance from the alleged perpetrators, they only had time to dodge," he said.

Meanwhile, the woman who was the victim of sexual harassment continued to cry.

"I immediately brought down the perpetrator and a police officer was immediately taken to the nearest police post," he said.
