It's Been A Week That The Road Between Cianjur Regency Is Still Closed By A Landslide
CIANJUR - The connecting road between districts in Cianjur, West Java, precisely in Takokak District which connects the Cianjur area with Sukabumi Regency, has been closed by landslides since one week, so that residents' activities are hampered even though there are alternative roads.
Takokak sub-district head Budi Rahayu said that until now, his party is still waiting for heavy equipment that is still in use for handling landslides in other areas, so the process to reopen the main road connecting Cianjur-Sukabumi is still delayed.
"For village roads that were blocked by landslides at three points, currently, they can be passed normally. However, roads between districts are still cut off due to landslides which are quite long and high, so they require heavy equipment," he said.
So that his party is still waiting for coordination from the Cianjur BPBD and related agencies so that heavy equipment can be immediately sent to clean up landslide material, so that residents' activities are no longer hampered because since the last week, for activities they have been forced to use alternative routes.
Longer mileage with damaged road runway conditions, making the mileage longer. He hopes that heavy equipment will be sent immediately and landslide materials can be removed so that residents' activities can run normally.
"Until now, the intensity of rain is still high, especially in the evening. We hope that heavy equipment will arrive soon and the main roads between districts can be passed because it is a pity that residents have to travel longer distances when choosing alternative routes," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Cianjur BPBD, Tedi Artiawan, said that his party was still waiting for the handling of the landslide that closed a number of district roads in the southern region of Cianjur. After the handling is complete, his party will immediately send heavy equipment to Takokak District.
"As soon as disaster management in Sukanagara and Campaka sub-districts is completed, heavy equipment will be immediately sent to Takokak because of the long distance, plus many roads that must be passed are blocked by landslides," he said.
