The Puzzle Of The Mastermind Behind Veronica Koman's Parents' Terror

JAKARTA - The terrorist act of throwing a suspected bomb at the house of the parents of Papuan activist Veronica Koman is still being investigated. Although, there have been a few bright spots, but the mastermind behind it has not been revealed.

So far, the police have stated that based on a series of investigations, there were two people who threw a bomb at a house on Jalan U, Jelambar Baru Gropet, West Jakarta, which occurred on Sunday, November 7, based on a series of investigations.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Ady Wibowo also agreed. This is known based on the deepening of CCTV footage around the location.

"Meanwhile, it's like that (two perpetrators)," said Ady when confirmed, Tuesday, November 8.

In the process of deepening and investigating, a number of witnesses have also been questioned.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Joko Dwi Harsono, said that the witnesses who had been examined included local security officers and the owner of the house. Most likely, witnesses will continue to grow as the investigation process progresses.

"We have examined five witnesses, including the owner of the house, the maid and the local security guard," he said.

Despite confirming the sound of an explosion, Joko confirmed that the explosion was a small explosion. Then, there were no significant casualties or damage

"There was no damage or casualties, either injured or dead. You could say a low explosion or low," said Joko.

Threat Letter

On a different occasion, the Head of the Operational Assistance Section for Densus 88 Polri, Kombes Aswin Siregar said, from the results of the crime scene (TKP) a piece of paper was found. Where, the paper contains threats about Papua.

The threatening letter reads 'Warning!!! If The Police and Apparatus at Home and Abroad Can't Catch Veronika Kuman @Hero Losers and Cowards, We Are Called to Scorch Earth Wherever Hiding. Nor your horde of protectors'

"Evidence in the form of a written message alluding to Veronika Koman's actions in defending the KKB group in Papua was found in the garage of Veronika Koman's parents' house," said Aswin.

Later, red paint spots were also found. It is suspected that the spots were caused by an explosion from an object thrown by the perpetrator.

However, the meaning of the red paint is not yet known. The police will continue to investigate.

"There were splashes of paint, scattered red paint in the garage," said Aswin.

With the findings or evidence, it is strongly suspected to be the motive for the terrorist act. However, further research is needed to prove it.

"It is estimated that this is a form of threat to the occupants of the house related to Veronica Koman's actions," said Aswin.
