Holds RDPU With Commission X, LADI Gets Support To Strengthen Regulation
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Anti-Doping Agency (LADI) held a Public Hearing Meeting (RDPU) with Commission X DPRD. The meeting, which was held on Monday, November 8 at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, discussed the sanctions imposed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on LADI.
From the RDPU, the results were quite good for LADI. Commission X gives full support to LADI in accelerating the lifting of sanctions imposed by WADA.
"Alhamdulillah, the board members basically know the problems that exist and are very supportive of LADI, especially for strengthening from the regulatory side," said LADI Deputy Chair Rheza Maulana in a release received by VOI.
It was later discovered that WADA had imposed a sanction on LADI because of the arrears in the cost of testing doping samples to a laboratory in Qatar, which was estimated at Rp. 300 million.
The arrears are the accumulation of the previous LADI management. Based on these facts, Commission X stated that it gave full support to LADI to strengthen regulations.
Apart from the support provided by Commission X, LADI is also slowly starting to complete its obligations. Currently, LADI is focusing on conducting in-competition testing for the XVI Peparnas event.
The TCT was carried out with a total of about 200 samples targeted for completion within the next week. The sampling is also done through remote supervision and monitoring by JADA.
After the process is complete, LADI immediately pursues other targets and can then submit a re-evaluation of the sanctions imposed by WADA.
"After Peparnas is finished, LADI will focus on pursuing out of competition testing (OOCT) 2021 which has not been implemented for Q3 and Q4," continued Reza Maulana.
"After all that is achieved, LADI will submit a re-evaluation of LADI's non-compliance status to WADA," said Rheza.
