PKS Said There Was No Agreement On The Deputy Governor's Position
JAKARTA - PKS senior politician Hidayat Nur Wahid said that until now PKS has not had an agreement with Gerindra to hand over the Jakarta Deputy Governor seat to Gerindra. Even so, his party welcomes Gerindra's proposal regarding the names of the four Jakarta Deputy Governor candidates.
However, Hidayat explained that his party has the attitude and right to determine the candidate for deputy governor. Therefore, this matter also needs to be weighed carefully.
"There is no such agreement yet. I don't think the form is finished and we are just waiting for the next development. Will PKS accept the four names, which of the four names will be filtered or then PKS will also remain in its original position, it is still in process, "he said, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, December 20.
For your information, PKS has submitted two names, namely Agung Yulianto and Ahmad Syaikhu to fulfill this position. However, until now there has been no decision even though the DPRD has formed a special committee regarding this matter.
Hidayat emphasized that his party would fight for his cadres to continue to fill the position. This is because the position of Deputy Governor of DKI is claimed by him as the right of PKS and it has been agreed between PKS and Gerindra.
"Yes, definitely, definitely because it's a political right for PKS and that is also the hope of PKS cadres," he explained.
Gerindra Will Discuss Again with PKS
Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani admitted that he would re-discuss the position of Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, which is currently still vacant with PKS. This is because there is still a subjectivity problem between the two political parties.
"Yes, there is a problem of subjectivity between us and PKS. We have said that we will hand it over to PKS. But it has also been a long time since we submitted this to PKS, so we will discuss it again with PKS friends," he said.
Muzani revealed, until now PKS has not yet submitted the names of the cawagub to Gerindra for discussion. Whereas on the contrary, his party has submitted as many as four candidates for the deputy governor candidate of DKI Jakarta to PKS.
They are, Deputy Chairperson of Gerindra Ferry Juliantono, Chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP Ahmad Riza Patria, member of the Gerindra Party Advisory Board Arnes Lukman and DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Saefullah.
Not only that, Muzani also said that his party had handed over the seat of Deputy Governor of DKI to PKS since a year ago. However, until now PKS has not had any definite clarity about which PKS cadres will be appointed as Deputy Governor.
"In January he said he wanted to be elected (PKS), we have submitted it to PKS for a long time, the process took place over a year," he said.
