Hary Tanoe Company Explains Sitting On Case Related To Being Sued For Bankruptcy By KT Corporation

JAKARTA - A South Korean (South Korean) telecommunications company, KT Corporation, filed a bankruptcy application against PT Global Mediacom Tbk at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court. Global Mediacom is part of the MNC Group which is owned by a national entrepreneur and Perindo politician, Hary Tanoe.

This bankruptcy suit is registered under number 33 / Pdt.Sus-Pailit / 2020 / PN Niaga Jkt.Pst dated July 28. "This case is an old case, it has been more than 10 years, even KT Corporation has also submitted a request for reconsideration to the Supreme Court and it was rejected based on the Supreme Court decision No. 104PK / Pdt.G / 2019 dated March 27, 2019," he said, via official statement received by VOI, Monday, August 3.

Taufik said that the Commercial Court should have rejected the KT Corporation application because it was not supported by valid legal facts. He considered that the petition was submitted as part of an effort to seek sensation in the midst of the world's economic conditions which are facing the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The actions taken by KT Corporation have entered into an act of defamation, and the company will take the necessary steps to protect its rights, including through criminal reporting to the police," he said.
