House Of Representatives Holds Plenary Session Tomorrow Takes Decision Approval For General Andika Perkasa To Be Commander Of The Indonesian Armed Forces

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the DPRRI, Abdul Kharis Almasyahari, confirmed that the process for the feasibility test for the candidate for TNI commander has been carried out by Commission I of the DPR and will be presented in a plenary meeting on Monday, November 8.

“The DPR Plenary Meeting will be held Monday (8/11) at 10.00 WIB. General Andika is invited to the plenary session to convey the DPR's decision making," said Abdul Kharis, after visiting General Andika Perkasa's residence, Sunday, November 7.

He said all the due diligence processes for the TNI commander candidates had been carried out, including the factual verification carried out by Commission I of the DPR by visiting General Andika's residence.

According to him, the visit was aimed at keeping in touch and ensuring that General Andika did live in the place stated in the document, had a family and had children.

"The cool language is factual verification so that when Monday (8/11) the results of the feasibility test are sent to the DPR, we have visited. And we proved that Pak Andika does live here, that's all," he said.

Abdul Kharis explained that the visit only discussed light things such as sports and food hobbies.

He said members of the House of Representatives Commission I who visited the residence of the candidate for the TNI Commander in Chief were served liwet rice made by General Andika's wife, Diah Erwiany.

"One of the dishes served is liwet rice. I happen to be from Solo, I think the liwet rice is 'in' in my opinion," he also said.

Abdul Kharis said there were 12 members of Commission I of the DPR and 8 representatives of factions who attended the visit. According to him, representatives of the PPP faction were unable to attend because they were sick.

General TNI Andika expressed his gratitude for the visit of the leaders of Commission I of the DPR and representatives of the factions.

According to him, he did not prepare anything special in welcoming the members of Commission I of the DPR.

"I am also just what I am, even if there is something that is not pleasing, I apologize," he said.
