Avanza Collisions With Motorcycle In Lebak, 3 People Killed
LEBAK - A traffic accident (accident) between a motorcycle and an Avanza in Lebak Regency, Banten. Three people are reported to have died.
"The three people who died were motorcycle passengers, namely IR (43), AT (42), and RI (8)," said Head of the Lebak Police Traffic Unit, AKP Kresna Ajie Perkasa, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 7.
The accident occurred on Thursday, November 4 on Jalan Raya Gunung Kencana - Cileles, starting with a four-wheeled vehicle (R4) Toyota Avanza license plate number A 1451 VZ driven by S (30) traveling from Gunungkencana to Rangkasbitung.
From the opposite direction, the Honda Beat No. Pol A 2398 JH driven by IR (43), with 2 passengers, namely AT (42) and RI (8) residents of Sindangresmi, Pandeglang Regency.
The accident was based on witness testimony, the Toyota Avanza vehicle driven by SU (30) drove from the direction of Mount Kencana to Rangkasbitung.
The Toyota Avanza car overtook the vehicle in front of it, but then at the exact same time from the opposite direction came a Honda Beat motorcycle driven by IR (43) with two passengers.
The possibility of the accident could not be avoided, because the distance was close to causing the two vehicles to collide and resulting in the death of the motorcyclist and passenger at the scene.
"We are currently digging for information to investigate and conduct an examination of the Toyota Avanza SU driver (30) and the car's passenger," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, AKBP Shinto Silitonga, appealed to road users to prioritize vigilance and be careful when driving.
"I'm sorry and sorry for this incident, let's prioritize safety when driving and don't forget to complete the identity of the vehicle and wear all safety while driving, including always wearing a helmet for motorcyclists," said Shinto.
