Boat 10 With Passengers Reported Missing In Raja Ampat Waters
SORONG - An engine boat carrying 10 passengers from Sorong City to Raja Ampat Regency was reported missing in the waters of Raja Ampat.
The Sorong Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas) who received the report immediately dispatched a team to search the engine boat with 10 passengers who were reported missing.
Head of the Sorong Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas) Mochammad Arifin said his party received a report in the early hours of the morning at 00.30 WIT from a family named Petrus Mirino.
He explained that the engine boat reportedly departed from Suprau beach, Sorong City, for Urbinasopen, Raja Ampat Regency on November 6, 2021 at 17.00 WIT.
In accordance with the estimated distance traveled, the engine boat with a passenger of 10 people arrived at Urbinasopen, Raja Ampat Regency on the same day at 19.00 WIT, but its whereabouts are not yet known.
"After receiving the report, our team immediately moved to search for the engine boat since 02.30 WIT using the KN SAR Baladewa 238 ship," said Arifin, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 7.
