Culvert Covers In Depok Lost Stolen, Road Users Can Get Injured

DEPOK - The theft of iron covers for culverts on the edge of Jalan Margonda, Kemiri Muka Village, Beji District, Depok City, has been repeated. Two iron caps were stolen by the perpetrators using an angkot car.

"The incident was reported at around 1.48 pm and was recorded on the CCTV camera of a car repair shop. Two perpetrators got out of the car and took the lid on the sewer," said Bhabinkamtibmas member, Kemiri Muka Village, Aiptu Rojudin, Friday, November 5.

The cover of the culvert made of iron with a diameter of 1x58 meters is located right in front of the metropolitan car repair shop and the Asyik Chicken Restaurant.

"The first perpetrator stole the cover of the culvert in front of the car repair shop and then walked 30 meters to the front to be precise at the Asyik Chicken Restaurant, the perpetrator again took the lid of the culvert," he explained.

The loss of the culvert cover can be caused by road users. Therefore, the officer gave a sign so that road users could know there was a big hole.

"Anticipate casualties while the culvert holes are marked with barriers and used car tires at the location," he said.

Regarding this incident, Aiptu Rojudin has coordinated with the kelurahan to immediately take quick steps to close the culverts again.

"The kelurahan has reported this to the relevant office, it will be replaced soon, it's just a matter of time," he concluded.
