Motivate Athletes At Peparnas Papua, Head Of NPC Indonesia: Let's Record And Pursue Maximum Achievement!

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) Senny Marbun gave motivation to athletes who performed at the XVI Papua National Paralympic Week (Peparnas).

Enthusiastically, Senny Marbun said that Peparnas Papua is an opportunity for athletes from various regions to appear on the international stage.

"Let's take notes and pursue maximum achievements in this beautiful land of Papua! You too can, one day come to make the name of the nation and state proud," said Senny in his speech at the opening ceremony of Peparnas Papua at Mandala Stadium, Jayapura City, Friday, as reported by Antara.

On this occasion, Senny said that Indonesia has proud achievements on the world stage, the latest is to make history by bringing home two gold, three silver and four bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

"We are no longer underestimated, with such encouraging and proud achievements," said Senny while mentioning other proud achievements.

"For my brothers and sisters, all NPC athletes, the accumulation of successes, we currently use as a whip to achieve the highest possible achievements. Never give up, never be discouraged," he said.

According to Senny, in the era of President Joko Widodo's leadership, athletes with disabilities have the same opportunities and rights as non-disabled athletes.

"Only Mr. President Jokowi dares to equate our dignity with our non-disabled brothers and sisters," he said.

On this occasion, he also thanked the people of Papua and Governor Lukas Enembe for providing extraordinary access to all NPC athletes who will compete.

"Instill and deeply imprint this slogan in your heart. Never count what is lost from your body, but count what is still left. Happy competing, achieve your highest possible achievements!," concluded Senny Marbun.
