Terrible News Wadas Children Afraid To Go To School Because Of Patrols Denied By Police: Tends To Be Made Up
CENTRAL JAVA - Rumors circulated that children in Wadas Village, Bener District, Purworejo Regency, were afraid of going to school because there was a police patrol.
This news was denied by the Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes M. Iqbal Alqudusy. According to him, the news is not true.
"What a number of residents have said on social media is not true and tends to be fabricated," said M. Iqbal Alqudusy in a press release, reported by Antara, Friday, November 5.
The pros and cons of a number of residents regarding andesite mining in Wadas Village, Bener District, Purworejo Regency, have emerged again.
A video circulated on social media in which a number of unscrupulous residents rejected the presence of Bhabinkamtibmas who would carry out sambang activities in the village.
News also circulated about residents who complained to an office of the Legal Aid Institute (LBH), complaining about police patrols which they thought were scaring children so they were afraid to go to school.
Iqbal Alqudusy expressed his gratitude for LBH's attention to the residents of Wadas Village and high appreciation for the input given to the Polri institution.
He explained that there are two police patrols, namely patrols for the sabhara function and sambang Bhabinkamtibmas in the assisted villages.
All activities do not contain any elements of intimidation, they are only coaching in the context of maintaining public order security (harkamtibmas).
Sambang bhabinkamtibmas is a routine task of coaching by police officers as community partners. Not only that, Bhabinkamtibmas also seeks suggestions and input from leaders and residents for the progress of the village, especially in the field of developing security and social security.
"While the Sabhara patrol is comprehensive, it's not just in Wadas," he said.
The routine patrol routes in the context of harkamtibmas by the police in the Bener District area include Wadas Village, Kaliurip, Bener, Kedung Loteng, Cacaban Kidul, Kaliwader, Kalitapas, Cacaban Lor, and Peguling Village.
"The National Police has an obligation to maintain the peace of residents in all areas. That's why there are regular patrols to villages. The nature of the patrols is also dialogic, we have dialogue with the residents. To make ourselves familiar as fellow Kamtibmas partners," he added. Bener sub-district is running normally and economic activities are running smoothly.
"School children also enter as usual. Now they enter although on a limited basis because of the pandemic," he said.
Agus thanked the police for patrolling regularly. The presence of police in villages, including Wadas, has brought peace to the Bener District.
"The issue of police patrols scares children so that they are afraid the school will make it up. In fact, patrols can bridge opposing groups in Wadas," he said.
Agus reminded residents to be careful using social media to spread news that is not necessarily true.
"Distribute aspirations through the right channels, if it's easy to throw issues on social media, it is feared that they will end up being ensnared by the rule of law," he said.
