The Director General Of The Ministry Of Home Affairs Intervenes To Fix The Low Level Of Bogor Regency In Issuing Birth Certificates
JAKARTA - The Director General (Dirjen) of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Zudan Arif Fakrulloh was forced to intervene to form a team to accelerate the coverage of Birth Certificates in Bogor Regency.
The problem is that the issuance of Birth Certificates carried out by the Dukcapil Office of Bogor Regency is far from satisfactory. The Dukcapil Office of Bogor Regency is included in the category of 50 regions with the lowest coverage of issuance of Birth Certificates in Indonesia.
"As the Director General of Dukcapil, where my office and residence are close to the Bogor Regency, I must push the performance of the Bogor Regency Disdukcapil even harder. The Bogor Dukcapil Headquarters should be able to work more optimally and improve work management. Because with the largest population in Indonesia, with 5.2 million residents, special efforts are needed," said Zudan at the Bogor Dukcapil Office, Thursday, November 4.
That's why Zudan came for the umpteenth time to monitor and evaluate the performance of the Dukcapil Office of Bogor Regency, which he felt had not improved.
"The percentage of children who have birth certificates in Bogor Regency until October 2021 is only in the range of 80-81 percent. It is still far from the national target of 95 percent," said Zudan.
Because of that, Zudan was present in the midst of the Dukcapil Service apparatus in Bogor Regency to give instructions on strategies for accelerating the coverage of Birth Certificates to 95 percent.
"I have ordered a team to be formed which will immediately go to each school, to elementary, junior high, high school, and the equivalent," ordered Zudan.
By going to schools, Zudan is optimistic that the target for the issuance of 95 percent Birth Certificates can be completed soon.
