Ahead Of The IATC And World Superbike, Access To The Lombok Mandalika Circuit Is Strictly Guarded By More Than 2,000 Personnel

NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police will tighten security for access to the Pertamina Mandalika Lombok Circuit ahead of the idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) and World Superbike events at the Pertamina Mandalika Lombok Circuit.

"For security, we have prepared comprehensively. All routes have been arranged, both entering from the Lombok Airport Bypass or from the West and East, as well as visitors staying overnight have also simulated security techniques," said NTB Police Chief Inspector General Iqbal in Praya, Central Lombok, Antara, Friday, October 5th.

In the context of implementing the IATC and WSBK events, it is necessary to support good security to ensure security, safety, order and smooth traffic in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

"We will hold an independent regional operation with the code Mandalika Rinjani 2021," he said.

The number of personnel who will be involved is more than 2,000, including members of the Resort Police, members of the TNI, and the Department of Transportation, with 408 personnel from the National Police Headquarters backed up.

"In security, it is supported by facilities and infrastructure in the form of two ships and one helicopter from the Korpolairud Baharkam Polri and helicopters from Basarnas," he said.

In addition, the facilities that will be alerted are in the form of dozens of four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles. The NTB Police have also prepared various forms of security and anticipatory steps to ensure the event runs smoothly, starting from the arrival of the audience to their return.

He said, specifically to anticipate the spread of COVID-19, the NTB Police will also prepare a patrol team, everyone who enters will be tightened with health protocols, both local guests and guests from abroad.

"Health protocols are strictly enforced," he said.

All routes will be maintained, both land, air and sea routes have all been simulated including the facilities and infrastructure have also been prepared, such as fast boats, helicopters, ambulances and others. Not only securing lanes, the NTB Police have also anticipated such as accidents, natural disasters, terrorism, including demonstrations.

"Everything has been prepared, to anticipate accidents in the form of tow trucks and ambulances, anti-terror vehicles such as bombs and others," he said.

To maximize security, the NTB Police have also conducted tactical floor games (TFG) many times, together with all stakeholders, including those from Korem 162/WB. So that world-class "events" can also display world-class security strategies.

"In collaboration, we want to carry out a world-class security pattern. God willing, on November 8 we will conduct a contingency simulation in the field," he said.
