KPPU Chairman Kodrat Wibowo Dies Of A Heart Attack, Previously Still Active As A Researcher At FEB Unpad
JAKARTA - The chairman of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU), Kodrat Wibowo, died, Friday, early morning at around 12.05 WIB at the Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Jakarta, due to a heart attack. According to the plan, Wibowo will be taken to the KPPU building before heading to the funeral home in Bogor, West Java.
The head of the Public Relations and Cooperation Bureau, Deswin Nur, confirmed the information. He said that it was done as a last tribute to the deceased.
"You will first be buried in the KPPU Building as a final tribute. Then go to the funeral home," Deswin told reporters, Friday, November 5.
For your information, Wibowo joined as Commissioner of KPPU in 2018, and was elected as Chair of KPPU for the period 2020-2023. His work is known as an expert in microeconomics, statistics and econometrics, finance and public policy, and development planning.
Wibowo completed his Doctoral Education and earned his Ph.D in Economics at Oklahoma University in 2003. Prior to joining KPPU, he held several important positions such as being the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PDAM Tirta Wening, Bandung City, Deputy Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Assembly Trustee of Padjadjaran University, and Deputy Director of the Institute for the Independent Study of Public Policy (LPIKP).
In fact, until now he is still active as an academician and Senior Researcher at the Center for Economics and Development Studies (CEDS) FEB Unpad.
The man who was born in Bogor in 1971 also often involves himself in community service activities, such as being a Jury Member at the Pangripta Nusantara Award (Best National Development Planning Award) at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas in 2010-2014, as well as being an instructor at Functional Level activities. Development Planning (JFP) which is a collaboration between Unpad and Bappenas.
