The Death Toll Of The Flash Flood In Batu City Becomes 6 People, 3 People Are Still Wanted
CITY OF BATU - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Batu City stated that the death toll from the flash flood disaster in Batu City, East Java Province, increased to six people.
"Temporary data as of 11.00 WIB, six people were reported to have died," said Head of BPBD Batu Agung Sedayu in Batu City, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 5.
Agung detailed that the victims of the flash flood who died included four residents of Sambong Hamlet, one resident of Sabrang Bendo Hamlet, and one resident who lived in the Jalan Kartini area.
According to him, currently officers are still looking for three people who were reported missing when flash floods hit several parts of Batu City.
"Currently (they) are still in the search process," he said.
In addition to deploying officers to search for flood victims who were reported missing, BPBD also recorded the needs of flood victims, helped clean up flood debris, and helped repair facilities damaged by floods.
Flash floods on Thursday, November 4 hit several parts of Batu City, including Sambong Hamlet and Beru Hamlet in Bulukerto Village, Sumber Brantas Village, and Punten Village in Bumiaji District.
In addition, flash floods hit parts of the Batu District area, namely the Dieng Highway area in Sidomulyo Village and the Selecta Highway area in Tulungrejo Village.
