Parents Are Prohibited From Visiting Their Children In The Ponpes
JAKARTA - A number of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) have started learning activities amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Including the boarding school in Tegal, Central Java, which adheres to strict health protocols.
However, parents should not visit their children who are already at the boarding school. This is done to prevent the spread of the virus.
"Parents / guardians of students are only allowed to escort their children to the gate of the boarding school, and are prohibited from entering the cottage area," said Head of the Ministry of Religion, Sukarno, quoted from Jatengprov.go.id, Sunday, August 2.
Meanwhile, parents or guardians accompanying students are also limited. "The escort is limited to two people. Santri while inside the hut are prohibited from leaving the area for 14 days," he said.
Sukarno said that his party had formed a task force in a number of Islamic boarding schools with the aim of anticipating the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is a follow-up to the Circular SKB 4 of the Minister regarding the guidelines for the implementation of the 2020/2021 academic year, his party has also made several regulations related to the implementation of santri education at the Islamic boarding school, by regulating the arrival of students to come in waves and scheduled by region. The arrival of students should be reported to the Subdistrict Task Force and the nearest health center.
He emphasized that learning activities in the boarding school environment during the pandemic will continue to be monitored. This is a form of anticipation and control, as well as an evaluation of the implementation of Islamic boarding school religious education in the new habit era.
Meanwhile, KH Nasichun Isa Mufti, the leader of Babakan Ponpes care, explained that learning activities at Babakan Ponpes have implemented strict health protocols and educated about health. In that place also carried out health checks for students involving the local health center.
"Every three days, officers from the puskesmas come to check the health conditions of the residents of the boarding school. Anyone whose body is above 37 degrees Celsius will be sent home immediately. Restrictions on guests are carried out mainly from the red zone area. We also provide hand washing facilities in several santri rooms, as well as intensify socialization about the importance of personal and environmental hygiene for health, "said Isa.
