How To Easily Create Survey Forms Using Google Forms

YOGYAKARTA - Creating a questionnaire to conduct surveys or collect research data is currently easy. You no longer need to go to respondents one by one to ask them to fill out your questionnaire.

Users can distribute online questionnaires and submit a list of questions via Google Forms. That way, your research or survey activities will not be disrupted even though you cannot meet respondents directly because of the pandemic.

Google Form itself is a free feature provided by Google, and can be used by all users. You also only need to visit the Google Form page to use this feature.

The way a survey conducted using Google Forms works is that the surveyor or the person conducting the survey creates a form on the Google Form and distributes it to respondents via the link they share via instant message.

To help you use the Google Forms feature, the VOI team has summarized the steps you can take to conduct an online survey.

Before using the Google Forms feature, users must first create a Google account, or use email to log in. If you don't have an email yet, you can create one first.

If you already have a Google account, you can directly visit the Google Form page, or click "Google Form" in the Google search engine, so you will be taken to the Google Form site.

Next, you can go to Google Forms, and immediately create a blank form or choose a template that has been provided by clicking the plus icon, or new form.

Give your form a title, then a description of the form. Next, you can create question fields or other fields, according to your survey needs.

Users can choose a number of question column models such as multiple choice, which require a "Yes" or "No" answer. Questions with short answers in the form of a 1 paragraph description, and questionnaires with answers choosing a box.

In addition, you also create a date and time format, setting the answer to be uploaded in a certain photo or document format after being filled out by the respondent.

After the form has been created, you can click "Send" in the upper right corner to save and start using the form for surveys.

Finally, distribute the questionnaire that you created to the respondents you have chosen. You can share the Google Forms questionnaire via instant messages such as WhatsApp, or other platforms.
