Remember, Vehicles Must Be Emission Tested In Jakarta After More Than 3 Years Old
JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Environment Agency, Asep Kuswanto, said that vehicles that are required to carry out emission tests and pass emission tests after manufacture are more than 3 years old.
This refers to Article 2 paragraph (2) of DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 66 of 2020 concerning Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Tests.
"Motor vehicles aged over three years can still pass through the DKI Jakarta area as long as they follow and pass the emission test," Asep told reporters, Friday, November 5.
Private vehicles can carry out emission tests at workshops or emission test kiosks and the DKI Environment Agency office.
The cost of a car emission test is set at an average price of Rp. 150 thousand and for motorcycles, between Rp. 50 thousand to Rp. 60 thousand. Meanwhile, the emission test at the Environmental Service office is free of charge.
"Currently there are 250 four-wheel vehicle emission test providers and 15 two-wheel vehicle emission test providers who are ready to provide services," explained Asep.
Asep said, the number of emission test organizers will continue to grow. "The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through DPTSP makes it easier for licensing, so it is hoped that an emission testing ecosystem is formed and people can choose to conduct emission tests near their homes," he explained. and also participate in reducing air pollution in Jakarta.
He continued, the public can see a list of workshops, kiosks, or mobile services for emission test providers in the e-emission test application. He asked the public not to worry about their vehicles not passing the emission test.
"The key is in routine maintenance of the car or motorbike, as long as it is cared for properly, it will certainly pass the emission test," he concluded.
