PPP Politicians Ask For Fit And Proper Test For Candidate For TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa To Be Held In A Semi-open Manner
JAKARTA - Member of Commission I of the DPR from the PPP faction, Syaifullah Tamliha, hopes that the fit and proper test for the candidate for the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, can be carried out in a semi-open manner.
This is intended so that the public can find out information from the media doing the coverage.
"Yes, it should be semi-open. So journalists also know what his ideas are, what he did during his tenure. If the investigation is closed," Syaifullah said to reporters, Thursday, November 4.
In addition, the PPP politician asked that the budget for the procurement of defense equipment for the TNI should not be excessively modified, because this would be highly highlighted by the public.
"Yes, his name is also a rich person, right? It's good that the TNI Commander is rich, he doesn't think about tinkering with the defense equipment procurement," said Tamliha.
It is known that Commission I of the DPR held an internal meeting to discuss the fit and proper test of the candidate for the sole TNI Commander, General Andika Perkasa this afternoon. The meeting became the initial series of the fit and proper test process for Andika Perkasa before officially leading the TNI.
If the mechanisms and procedures have been established in Commission I of the DPR, the fit and proper test for General Andika Perkasa will likely be held tomorrow, Friday, November 5.
