Already Called A Number Of Names, KPK Opens Investigation On Alleged Corruption Formula E
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) admits that it is investigating allegations of corruption in the implementation of the international Formula E racing event in DKI Jakarta.
Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, even said that a number of parties had been asked for information and clarification to collect data and information. This is necessary in the ongoing investigation process.
"Yes, the KPK is asking for information and clarification from several parties to collect data and information or information needed by the investigative team," Ali told reporters, Thursday, November 4.
He said the investigation process was carried out after reports from the public on allegations of corruption in the organization of these activities. However, Ali has not been able to specify who the parties are suspected to be involved in or who have been summoned because the investigation process is still ongoing.
"This activity is of course a follow-up to information submitted by the public regarding the implementation of Formula E in DKI Jakarta to the KPK," he said.
"However, because we are still in the early process of collecting information, we cannot present the investigation material at this time," Ali added.
Furthermore, he asked the community to continue to monitor and oversee this process. Thus, efforts to eradicate corruption can continue to be carried out properly by the KPK.
"We ask the public to continue to oversee the work of the KPK as an element of supervision as well as support for efforts to eradicate corruption," he concluded.
