SEMARANG - A pair of lovers who committed the theft of vacant house specialists in Semarang City and Demak Regency were arrested by the Pedurungan Sector Police (Polsek), Semarang City, Central Java.
The Head of Pedurungan Police, AKP Hadi Handoko, revealed that the two suspects were Muhammad Teguh Hadi Rahardjo (25) and Aini Tugiyah (26). Each of the residents of Mranggen, Demak Regency is a pair of lovers who claim to have been married in an unregistered manner.
The results of the preliminary examination stated that both of them had acted in Semarang City and Demak Regency several times.
"The perpetrators targeted the house the owner had left. One of the signs was that the gate was locked from the outside," Hadi said in Semarang, as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 4.
In the action, he said, the perpetrator used a car to transport the stolen goods. Police secured two rental cars used for the action at two different locations.
The perpetrator was finally caught after breaking into a house at Perum Permata Majapahit, Semarang City on November 1, 2021.
According to him, the perpetrator used a car parked in front of the target's house to disguise his actions.
When arrested, he continued, officers also found another rental car containing dozens of 3 kg LPG cylinders. the same one.
The lovers, according to him, also have their respective roles, namely the suspect Teguh Hadi Raharjo as a fence breaker and a transporter of stolen goods, while his girlfriend Aini Tugiyah remains in the car while monitoring the situation.
For his actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft.
