TNI And Residents Repair The Sahayu Yalimo Bridge Which Was Damaged By OTK

JAYAPURA - TNI personnel from Kodim 1702/Jayawijaya together with residents of the Abenaho District, Yalimo repaired the Sahayu KM 97 bridge which was damaged by an unknown person (OTK) some time ago.

The Sahayu Bridge, which connects the Jayawijaya and Yalimo areas, was damaged allegedly related to the pilkada conflict which is still ongoing.

"We are trying to repair this bridge as quickly as possible, because this bridge is the only link between Jayawijaya and Yalimo areas. We hope that with the completion of this bridge repair, the distribution of nine basic commodities (sembako) and fuel from Jayawijaya Regency will not stop so that once the wheels of the economy continue to run in Kab. Yalimo," said Dandim 1702/Jayawijaya Lt. Col. Inf. Arif Budi Situmeang, Wednesday, November 3.

A total of 27 personnel from Kodim 1702/Jayawijaya were deployed to carry out repairs. After being repaired since Monday, November 1, the bridge can now be passed by four-wheeled and six-wheeled vehicles.

Residents in the Abenaho District, Yalimo were greatly helped by this real action by the TNI. Thanks to the help of the TNI, the road access that was previously disturbed was able to recover.

The Abenaho District Youth Leader, Yurius Wandik, expressed his gratitude for the swiftness of the TNI from the 1702/Jayawijaya Kodim in repairing this bridge.

"We also hope that this bridge will not be damaged again, because this bridge is a land transportation route used to meet the needs of the people in Kab. Yalimo," he said.
