The notification in question is that WhatsApp will send a six-digit code to your mobile number. This number is different from the OTP code used to verify your account.
The way to activate it is to click the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of your application. After that, a number of menu columns will appear that you can choose from.
To enable two-step verification, users can select the "Settings" menu. Next, scroll down until you find the "Account" icon. Click the "Two Step Verification" menu or two-step verification.
To enable it, check the available box until the column next to it changes to "Enable". Next, you can enter the secret code you have to use to access your WhatsApp account.
If you forget, or are confused about the code to enter, you can click the "forgot password" field, then enter the email you used for your WhatsApp number.
