Fugitive Djoko Tjandra Was Taken To The National Police Criminal Investigation Unit
JAKARTA - 11-year-old fugitive Djoko Tjandra was immediately taken by officers to the Criminal Investigation Unit at National Police Headquarters. Kabareskrim Polri, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, directly led the process of picking up Djoko Tjandra in Malaysia.
According to VOI, the team formed by the National Police has coordinated with the Malaysian Royal Police to return Djoko Tjandra. The white minibus motorcade arrived at the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Police Headquarters at 23.20 WIB.
Djoko Tjandra arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, at around 22:40 WIB. Wearing an orange shirt with his hands tied with a tis strap, Djoko Tjandra received a tight police escort.
"On the orders of the Chief of Police to form a special team to intensively search for Djoko Tjandra's whereabouts in Malaysia. With special coordination the police to police are jointly carrying out search efforts," said Komjen Listyo at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Thursday, July 30.
Previously it was reported that Djoko Tjandra was a fugitive in a case of transfer of rights which resulted in a replacement of Bank Bali creditors worth Rp904 billion. The AGO detained Joko Tjandra from September 29, 1999 to August 2000.
The South Jakarta District Court (PN) rejected the request for reconsideration (PK) submitted by the convicted Bank Bali cessie case, Djoko Tjandra. Because, as a petitioner, Djoko never attended the trial.
It is known, Djoko Tjandra submitted a PK against the Supreme Court Decision No. 12 / PK / PID / SUS / 2009 dated 11 June 2009 jo. Decision No. 1688 K / PID / 2000 dated 28 June 2001 Jo. Decision No. 156 / Pid.B / 2000 / PN Jak.Sel dated 28 August 2000 and the decision of the Constitutional Court No. 33 / PUU-XIV / 2016 dated 12 May 2016.
