Munarman Has Been Handed Over To The AGO, Immediately Undergo A Trial In A Terrorism Case
JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters has transferred the files of former frontman of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman to the Attorney General's Office (AGO). Munarman is a suspect in an alleged terrorism case.
"Munarman, if I may repeat it on October 29, 2021, the suspect and evidence were handed over," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan at the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday, November 3.
With the submission of the file and the suspect, Munarman will soon undergo an indictment trial for the case being suspected. Where the prosecutor has 14 working days to prepare the indictment.
"So it was submitted a few days ago and received by the Public Prosecutor," said Ramadhan. Previously, the suspect Munaman was detained at the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center by the Densus 88 Police Investigators from May 7, 2021 to October 31, 2021.
Munarman is suspected of being involved in a number of terrorist plots in Indonesia. The police suspect that Munarman has taken allegiance in several cities, such as Makassar, Jakarta and Medan.
Munarman was arrested by Densus at his home, Pamulang, South Tangerang, Tuesday, April 27.
