SOLO - Selvi Ananda, wife of the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, recalled the moment she met with Gibran during the 2009 Solo Men's and Women's Election (PPS) event.

Selvi was the daughter of Solo in 2009 and Gibran was appointed as an English mentor for the participants at that time. Selvi admitted that there was nothing special during her meeting with Gibran.

"Definitely remember (the first meeting with Gibran, ed). His hair is still as long as mine. It's normal, I'm a participant," said Selvi at Solo City Hall, reported by Youtube news in Surakarta, Wednesday, November 3.

To note, PPS Solo in 2021 will be held again after a vacuum in 2020. PPS 2021 registration has been completed since it opened on 31 October. Later, 40 participants were taken to take another series of tests.

From the 40 participants, 20 participants will be taken again to be reduced to 10 people. The grand final will take place on Saturday, October 13. "October 31 yesterday was just the closing of registration. This just started the initial selection last November," explained Selvi.

For the debriefing session, the Mayor of Gibran emphasized the importance of digital literacy. This is so that participants can update and keep up with the times.
