JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has chosen Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Andika Perkasa as a candidate for TNI Commander to replace Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, who will soon retire.
This assurance was conveyed by the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, after the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno delivered the Presidential Letter. Then how much wealth does Andika have?
Based on the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) reported by Andika to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), he is recorded to have a wealth of IDR 179 billion. He reported his LHKPN on 20 June.
In the report, it was noted that Andika had 20 land and building assets, 19 of which were grants without a deed. The land is spread over in East Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, Bogor, Cianjur, Sleman, Bantul, Surabaya, Tabanan, and Bandar Lampung.
Not only in Indonesia, he is also listed as having land and building assets located in Allen Street Pyrmont Australia, Cedar Croft Lane Bethesda MD 206814 United States, and 9 Alloway Court Potomac MD 20854 United States. All of these assets and buildings have a value of Rp38,164,250,000.
Next, the son-in-law of the former Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) AM Hendropriyono is also recorded as owning two four-wheeled vehicles, namely the Landrover Sport 3.0 V 6 AT in 2014 with a value of IDR 800 million and the Mercedes Benz Sprinter 315 in 2018 with a value of IDR 1.8 billion. So that the total value of the vehicles he owns reaches Rp. 2.6 billion.
Then, Andika was recorded as having other movable assets amounting to Rp. 10,100,000,000. Furthermore, he is also recorded as having securities worth Rp. 2,146,000,000 and cash and cash equivalents reaching Rp. 126,985,922,019.
In the report Andika is noted to have no debt. So that his total wealth reaches Rp. 179,996,172,019.
Previously reported, President Jokowi only proposed one name, namely General Andika Perkasa to replace Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto. After the proposal, the palace, represented by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, asked the DPR RI to immediately conduct a fit and proper test.
"We, on behalf of the government, really hope that the chairwoman of the DPR, led by the DPR and all members of the DPR, can process it immediately and we really hope to get approval as soon as possible," said Pratikno at the DPR Building, Wednesday, November 3.
"So that the government can immediately issue a presidential decree and the president can immediately inaugurate a new TNI commander," he continued.
