After The Neck Stamping Incident In League 3, Persak Kebumen Management Apologizes
JAKARTA - A terrible incident occurred at the 2021 Liga 3 title in East Java, where one of the players was caught stepping on the opponent's neck in the PPSM Sakti Magelang match against Persak Kebumen. Because of the incident, the player who was the victim had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
Persak Kebumen player, Tri Hartanto who committed the serious violation. He landed his foot on the neck of PPSM Sakti Magelang player, Santino Berti until the opponent was lying in the middle of the field.
In the aftermath of the horrific incident that resulted in the contra, the management of Persak Kebumen apologized. Through the club's official Instagram account, the manager of Persak Kebumen, HM Tursino, confirmed that the incident occurred without an element of intent.
"We have conveyed our apologies to PPSM players and management, yesterday's incident was purely unintentional," wrote a statement on the @persakkebumen account.
HM Tursino apologized by going directly to the management and players of PPSM Sakti Magelang. He also reported that Santino Berti's condition is now in good condition.
"Alhamdulillah, we met the players directly in good condition after being allowed to go home by the hospital," the statement continued.
Still from the same upload, Persak Kebumen also emphasized that the unintentional incident should not lead to revenge. Because, rivalry in football is limited to the field.
"Rivalry is only on the field, after that we are friends, because football upholds the values of sportsmanship, respect and friendship. Hope you recover quickly and can play again, Amen," the end of the statement made.
Although he has apologized and resolved this case amicably, this incident seems to fulfill a number of other cases of violence committed by players in Liga 1 and Liga 2 2021.
