Manchester United Almost Beat Atalanta, Ronaldo: When I Played At Juventus, They Always Made It Difficult

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo admitted that Manchester United was lucky to be able to take points again from Atalanta. But he insists, the Red Devils never give up.

"It was a difficult game, I know when we played in Bergamo it was always difficult, but we believed until the end and I'm very happy," the former Juventus striker told BT Sport.

"We never gave up, we believed until the end, this is a good result for us. Difficult start, we knew Atalanta would put a lot of pressure on them, they have a fantastic coach, when I played at Juventus they were always difficult.

"We were a bit lucky in the end, but that's football. We still have to improve, we have different players, different systems, we have to adapt to each other, but it will take time. we have time to develop and get better.”

Currently Manchester United are top of the table with Villarreal with seven points, followed by Atalanta with five points and Young Boys with three points.

Without Cristiano Ronaldo's goal, the position would be reversed, Villarreal and Atalanta with 8 points, Young Boys 3 and Manchester United 2.
