Commission D Of DKI DPRD Tightens Grant Proposals For 2022

JAKARTA - Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD stated that it was evaluating all proposed grants that were included in the SKPD in the General Policy on Budget and Temporary Budget Priority Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) of the 2022 APBD by selecting and reviewing their urgency.

The chairman of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ida Maheasy, said that the effort to tighten the selection of grants was carried out by his staff considering the current economic condition that was felt to have not recovered due to the COVID-19 pandemic that had struck for the past two years.

"We are tightening grants because we know that our economic condition has not returned to its original state, lest we be happy to give grants, but in reality we are short of money," said Ida, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 2.

However, Ida still ensures that several grant applications proposed through the Office of Spatial Planning and Land (Citata) can be approved, including a grant for the construction of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) building of Rp160.3 billion.

Then the renovation of the Jami Attaibin Mosque in Senen, Central Jakarta, amounting to Rp. 6.2 billion, the renovation of the Jakarta Tugu Church of Rp. 6.2 billion and the construction of the Prosecutor's office building of Rp. 30.2 billion.

"We are currently properly selecting the grants that we will give. One of them is for PMI, yes. But we apologize to the relevant agencies whose grants were not disbursed this year, maybe next year when the economy starts to improve, we will approve it," he said.

Ida hopes that with the approval of grants to PMI, services can be improved, so that the blood stock for Jakarta residents is fulfilled.

"Hopefully, if PMI gets a grant, it will make it easier for DKI residents who need blood, no more problems or an empty stock," he said.

Ida also asked the Head of the Citata Service Heru Hermawanto to complete files and documents related to the management of grant funds in a clear and detailed manner.

"Even though we agree, we still ask Pak Heru and PMI to explain in detail what the grant funds are for. Let me be clear," he said.

Meanwhile, Heru Hermawanto expressed his readiness to expedite the presentation of the allocation of the use of the grant funds that are planned to be used for the construction of the PMI building located on Jalan Kramat Raya, Senen, Central Jakarta.

"We will explain about the implementation later, so that it can be ensured within one year. So that people can donate blood comfortably, because at this time the place is very narrow, not comfortable, not feasible," said Heru.
