VIDEO: Viral Police Ask For A Sack Of Onions To Change Tickets, Sanctioned For Change Of Duty

JAKARTA - The traffic police who asked the truck driver for a sack of onions in exchange for a ticket and went viral on social media, was finally transferred. Currently, he is assigned as a service to the headquarters (Yanma) of the Metro Jaya Police.

"The person concerned has been investigated by the Professional and Security Division Police and immediately withdrawn, transferred to Metro Jaya Police as a Yanma NCO for the time being," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters, Tuesday, November 2.

In addition, the police officer identified as Aipda PDH is still undergoing examination. Because the motive behind asking for a sack of onions has not been revealed.

"That's (the reason) we are still investigating", said Yusri.
