Five Students In Cirebon Positive For COVID-19 After Random Swab Tests In 6 Schools
CIREBON - Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Cirebon City, West Java Agus Mulyadi said from the results of a random swab test in six schools that had been running face-to-face learning (PTM) there were five who tested positive for COVID-19.
"The samples that we carried out for the swab test were 600 students from six schools, and the results were five tested positive for COVID-19," Agus said in Cirebon, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 2.
He said the five students who tested positive for COVID-19 were spread across several schools, namely in junior high schools, madrasas, Islamic boarding schools, and elementary schools.
According to him, each school had 100 students who were swab tested, bringing the total to 600 students.
Even though he was declared positive for COVID-19, after tracing his close contacts, especially his family, they all tested negative.
"After we carried out close contact tracing, nothing positive was found," he said.
Agus added that the random swab test will be carried out again, to ensure that the limited PTM does not become a cluster of the spread of COVID-19.
"This week we will do another sampling, in several schools, so that PTM is really safe," he said.
He said that although some were exposed to COVID-19, limited PTM activities would still be carried out, but after everything was declared safe.
