The DKI Night Patrol Team Will Be Re-established By Polda Metro, Prioritize Prevention
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya will make improvements to the units of the teams in the Polres ranks. This improvement is related to the implementation of regional security to comply with standard operating procedures (SOP).
The statement was to refute the news that the Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Fadil Imran, had disbanded the night patrol teams.
"It is regulated that those who are said to have preventive duties are police officers in uniform, who is in uniform? Sabhara, Brimob which has been using this investigation will be reorganized. The detectives are not in uniform. That's why they were collected by the Kapolda, reorganized, even strengthened. " said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Tuesday, November 2.
In that improvement, continued Yusri, all members will undergo training first. So, they can solve problems that are found while on duty.
"Yes, it's the same, all of them will be trained. Under the leadership put forward by Sabhara and Brimob, they will be trained. What is the SOP and how do they handle it if there is a problem, all of them will be trained," said Yusri.
Yusri also emphasized that Polda Metro Jaya would strengthen patrol teams in all Polres. That way, Jakarta's security from street crimes can be maintained.
"The targets are street crimes. In vulnerable hours and in vulnerable locations, such as East Jakarta, there is a Jaguar. This will be strengthened, and the Kapolda will be assisted by around 50 motorbikes to be prepared to carry out active patrols. , said Yusri.
With this strengthening and coaching, members who carry out night patrols will prioritize preventive measures. Thus, Jakarta can be avoided from criminal acts of street crime.
"If there is a patrol it will not happen. There is a crime, it's who is wearing official clothes, traffic, Sabhara, Brimob, official clothes. Now the detective is in their repressive office, there will be legal action," said Yusri.
